This is a cat kokeshi by Kunihiko Watanabe son of Yuji Watanabe. She is all tucked in and very cute. She is very well made with great eye for balance and color tones. Love her a lot!
Kunihiko is part of a well known kokeshi artisan family. He is the son of the famous Yuji Watanabe and grandson of Watanabe Masao. His kokeshi are getting very popular and sought by collectors all over the world making them highly expensive. He is currently features in many galleries within Japan.
