This is a spectacular kokeshi by Yokoyama Teruo. Her kimono is decorated with a golden moon and flowers. The colorful layers of the kimono are a nice additional detail to the doll. 'Tsukimi' is an old Japanese tradition of moon viewing. Especially in autumn this has been a long celebrated tradition.
