These Seven Vintage Sosaku Kokeshi represent the 'seven lucky gods' or 'gods of good fortune'. They are mythological Japanese deities which originated in the 17th century. Sato Koson was one of the few female creative kokeshi artisans in the 70s and 80s making this kokeshi extra special. You can see that she has real painting skills!
