This is a Spectacular Gumma Kokeshi by the renowned artisan Kazuo Takamizawa. Not only the size, but also the details of the doll make this kokeshi stand out. Kazuo used both painting, carving and woodburing techniques to give this dolls its luxurious feeling. The signature 'Kazuo' (かずを) can be found on the base.
