This is an exquisite Vintage Kokeshi by Sansaku Sekiguchi. This kokeshi could well be of his early period. The kokeshi depicts a modest yet elegant lady. The kimono is simple yet sophisticated. There is a nice balance between simple design, eye for detail and the natural wood. The collar is beautifully done with fragile golden flowers as decoration. This is a rare find and a great opportunity to add her to your collection or home interior. She certainly stands out at 60 cm!
