This is a Vintage Kokeshi made from beautiful Yakusugi wood. Yakusugi wood is a special type of cedar found on Yaku Island in Japan. The hat can be removed from the head. You can position the hat as you like. The stamp on the bottom of the doll is not a signature, it reads Yakusugi referring to the type of wood used to make the doll. These kokeshi are rare finds.
