This is a very special Vintage Kijiyama Kokeshi by Takani Yohachi.
Takani Yohachi was originally a fine artist/painter. He was a kimono Yuzen artist. Later he started producing kokeshi incorporating his Yuzen skills. This makes him a 'one of a kind' kokeshi artisan. His kokeshi are really sought after by collectors all over the world.
This kokeshi is wearing a beautiful kimono and is made out of a single piece of wood. She is decorated with flowerd and maple leaves. Spectacular! Very special.
