This is a nice bronze vase by Saegusa Sotaro. Saegusa Sotaro (1911-2006) was a renowned modern Japanese metal sculptor. He won several national Japanese Sculptors Awards. He was a professor at the Nagoya University of Arts until he retired in 1986. His work is highly valued for their artistic beauty. After his retirement, Saegusa focused on sculptures of animals including lunar animals.
