A spectacular Tea Bowl made by Ueda Juho 上田寿方 and marked 寿方. The bowl comes in its original wooden box (kirbako - 桐箱).
Ueda Juho graduated from Shigaraki Ceramics School. He inherited a Shigaraki kiln. He was chosen in 1979 by the Japanese Minister of Foreign Trade and Industry as official master in Shigaraki pottery. He was exhibited in Japan on countless national shows. In 2008 he was rewarded the "Order of the Sacred Treasure, 6th rang" (Zuihō-shō 瑞宝章).
