Spectauclar shawan decorated with gold leaves from the Kokuzo kiln. This is one of the earliest known production sites linked to the birth of Kutani ware. Active in the mid-1600s, it’s where craftsmen first experimented with porcelain bodies and the vivid enamel decoration that would define the style.
