In all fairness, we are not sure if this kokeshi is made by Takani Yoshida or not but it definitely meets the highest standards which we are used form his work. All facial expression and hair style resemble his work and so do does the level of sophistication of the flower pattern on the kimono. However, it is the first time we have seen a lacquered version of his work. So, I let you be the judge of this superb piece. This uncertainly is reflected in the price for this kokeshi.
