A lovely Rare tradition Kokeshi based on the person of Otafuku, (Okame, 1392-1569). She’s a dumpy, homely, cheery faced figure who’s also a bringer of happiness.
Sato Nurio was a traditional Tougatta Kokeshi artist and studied under Sato Teruo. He is know for creating transitional kokeshi with influences from both the creative and traditional designs.
