This is an Exclusive Couple of Vintage Sosaku Kokeshi by Sanpei Yamanaka. Their kimono is adorned with beautiful engraved flowers. Love the little splash of color.
Yamanaka-San was born in Yamagata and made creative kokeshi troughout his entire career. His kokeshi are really sought by collectors all over the world. He won the prestigious 'Prime Minister Award' in 1979.
