This pair is a particular nice set of the Imperial Couple. They have lovely wood and great paintwork! Such a set is often displayed in the homes for the celebration of girl's day. Hinamatsura or "girls' day" is a special day in Japan celebrated on march 3th. They are both still in very good condition for vintage.
