This is a very special set of two Vintage Kijiyama Kokeshi with the signature on the back of the dolls. Takani Yohachi was originally a fine artist/painter. He was a kimono Yuzen artist. Later he started producing kokeshi incorporating his Yuzen skills. This makes him a 'one of a kind' kokeshi artisan. His kokeshi are really sought after by collectors all over the world. These dolls are made out of a single piece of wood.
