This is a special pair of Vintage Sosaku Kokeshi by the famous Hideo Ishihara. His dolls often have a minimalist design and are rare finds. The wood grain in this doll is spectacular and combines very well with the subtle red flowers. These kokeshi are very abstract in their features but extremely detailed in their decorations.
