This kokeshi is all about her large thick scarf! She is tucked away in it against the cold northern winter weather. There is not much from her face visible as she is also wearing a hat. The wood of this kokeshi is spectacula and the engravings used create also a more dimensional perception of the kokeshi. This is a wonderful piece and dated 1995.
