This is a powerful Vintage Sosaku Kokeshi by the famous Hideo Ishihara. His dolls often have a minimalist design and are rare finds. The wood grain in this doll is spectacular and combines very well with the fragile flower decorations. This is a very rare piece and hardly gets to the market as there are many collectors holding on to them.
