This is a lovely kokeshi by Kato Tatsuo. She is tucked in very well and her kimono is decorated with a a lovely plant. What a cutie. Tatsuo's work is always outstanding.
Kato Tatsuo started making kokeshi in the 1960s and studied under master Sansaku Sekiguchi. He is very popular and a major award winning artisan.
