This kokeshi doll portrays a peaceful young girl with a simple, contented expression and glossy black bobbed hair tied with red ribbons. She lovingly cradles a small dog in her arms, creating a warm and affectionate scene. Her kimono is adorned with beautifully painted Japanese temari balls, traditional embroidered decorative balls symbolizing happiness, friendship, and good fortune. The natural wood grain, soft colors, and hand-carved craftsmanship give the piece a gentle, nostalgic charm that is characteristic of contemporary artistic kokeshi.
