This is a lovely tea bowl that comes with her original wooden box (kirbako - 桐箱). The bowl is signed by the artisan Mizuno Juzan 水野寿山.
Mizuno Juzan was a potter in Seto until he built a kiln in 1907 and went independent. He had a good reputation for beautiful tea-ware produce. Some of which was used by the Imperial Household and the Tokugawa family.
