This Vintage Kokeshi is one of the most exclusive works by the renown artisan Issetsu Kuribayashi. His kokeshi are one of our favorites. The natural wood often has a predominant role in his kokeshi. This kokeshi wears a kimono mainly decorated with butterflies. This is an amazing example of his work. It is a rare find as it is the first time we have ever seen it!
