Katase Kahei is a multi Award winning kokeshi artisan. He won the prestigious Prime Ministers Award in 1954. This kokeshi is just a lovely example of his work. She has a beautiful shape. The design of her long carved hair is fantastic. Her kimono is beautifully decorated with a silver pattern.
