This kokeshi is beautifully decorated with falling leaves. There is a sake bottle attached to the belt of the doll.
Takahashi Hajime was originally a fine artist/painter. He is known for his colourful flower designs and the typical kokeshi faces that are made out of thin brush strokes. The kokeshi is dated Showa 49 which corresponds to 1974.
