This is a beautiful Vintage Sosaku Kokeshi by Toa Sekiguchi. She is titled 'Banshu or Late Autumn' and depicts a girl wearing a blue kimono. A landscape with a silver full moon is depicted on her kimono. 'Tsukimi' is an old Japanese tradition of moon viewing. Especially in autumn this has been a long celebrated tradition. Toa Sekiguchi is the son of the famous Sansaku Sekiguchi and has won several awards for his kokeshi.
