This Vintage Eijko Kokeshi is from the Tougatta Strain and is signed on the foot. She also serves as a container. The abstract pattern for the body of this kokeshi is referred to as ‘Mokumegane’. These stripes were made to take on the appearance of the same natural wood grain. The lid kokeshi is also decorated with engravings.
